FAQs

Is this for beginners?

Yes! My step-by-step videos walk you through the creation of the birthday crown, start to finish. There is even a video on how to thread your needle :)

How long will it take to sew?

It can be a range from about 3-10 hours. This depends on your experience and how much stitch detail you add to your crown.

I recommend working your project in stages over the course of about one week. A 30-90 minute window for each working session is a good goal, so that you break it up in chunks over the week.

Are supplies included?

This is a fully digital product and supplies are NOT included. You will receive a detailed supply list with links to purchase supplies online if you prefer.

Do I need access to a printer?

Yes. You will need to print the pattern(s) you chose in order to use them.

How will this be delivered?

After placing your order, you’ll receive immediate access on the confirmation page.

Additionally, you’ll receive an order confirmation email (within 5 minutes) that includes your access links and setup instructions.

We recommend setting up your customer portal using the instructions in your confirmation email. Once set up, you’ll have lifetime access to your purchase inside the portal. What paper size are the PDFs?

All templates are saved in both US letter & A4 paper size. You can pick which to use based on your paper available.

Can I sell the crowns that I make?

Absolutely! Any physical crowns you create using this kit are yours to sell, and you are welcome to sell them at craft markets, online, or through custom orders. Wishing you lots of success with your creations!

Inspired by all things Waldorf, a handmade birthday crown is my favorite tradition to celebrate a little one's trip around the sun.

I've always been passionate about making things and getting creative with the resources we have on hand. My background is in apparel and textile design, which I practiced in New York, Paris, and London for over a decade. Now I live in my seaside hometown in Florida with my husband and two sons.

You'll find me (with at least 1 kid on my lap) either designing recycled swimwear or crafting - maybe with felt, probably with cardboard, definitely with heart.
